Wave House Mallorca: Endless Waves and Nonstop Party

WAVE HOUSE MALLORCA™, THE LATEST ADDITION TO THE WAVE HOUSE FAMILY

The 4th of July is a very significant day for the USA, and as it turned out it was a very significant day for the Spanish Island of Mallorca. After years of preparation and months of planning and construction,  Sol Wave House™ Mallorca was added to the very exclusive family of Wave House venues across the world.

On  July 4th 2012, Sol Wave House™, Mallorca had their highly anticipated Grand Opening. The brand new Sol Wave House, boasting a new left FlowBarrel® and a double FlowRider® had been highly anticipated. The Sol Wave House Hotel, which is situated on the beach in the party city of Magaluf, had all the right ingredients to bring the surf and California lifestyle across the seas to this epic Spanish island. With this being the first Wave House in Europe, it was no surprise that getting on the guest list for the grand opening was no easy ticket.

If you were one of the lucky ones to get hold on the “list”, then you were in for a treat. Sol Wave House didn’t hold back as they flew in a handful of talent to showcase the special aspects of their venue. The evening began with some formalities, as Thomas Lochtefeld addressed the crowd while they were enjoying some snacks and cocktails. Following the speeches, the crowd immediately changed their focus onto the FlowBarrel where pro riders Greg Lazarus, Eric Silverman, JP Campos and Logan Lochtefeld were waiting for the go-ahead to show off there skills. As the water started to flow, the crowd started to cheer and the pro riders went straight to work performing flips and spins in their Spanish colors. “It is one of the best Wave House venues that I have been to. Both the FlowRider and FlowBarrel are awesome and the crowd was super pumped up”, said Greg Lazarus. After a 20-minute wave show, the action continued on stage as local Ibiza resident band Goldfish got the people off their feet and into the party mood. They rocked the venue with their unique approach to jazz/house music and kept the party going till early hours of the morning.

With a new buzz in the air and loads of media around the venue, this new Sol Wave House will be the talk of the town and will no doubt be a huge success.
