Flowboarders.com is excited to announce the newest additions to the FlowRider International Flowboarding Team!
With a constantly growing list of FlowRider® venues across Asia, the sport of flowboarding is blooming in the Asian market. Surf House Patong is the newest on the list among some of the well-established venues such as Surf House Phuket, Sunway Lagoon, Wave House Sentosa, Vana Nava Hua Hin, Cartoon Network Amazone, Waterbom Bali, Flow House Manila, Flow House Bali, and Flow House Bangkok.
Considering that we don’t see this forward progress slowing down anytime soon, FlowRiderShop.com has added two new team riders!
After a great showing at the World Flowboarding Championships, flowboarders Songkrod Jomboon (BM) and Isara Singto (Simba) have been welcomed to the FlowRider Team for 2017. Alongside their long time International Team Representative and Grandfather of flowboarding, Alfian Alfandi, they too will help promote their products and grow the flow, so to speak. FlowRider Shop also continues to support the young up and comer, Elan Nichol, as part of their FR Ambassador Team.
“We have been looking for new team members to represent the brand in Asia, so our eyes were wide open when we got to Worlds,” states FlowRider Inc. Representative, Rob Chalfant.
Songkrod Jomboon’s nickname is BM, short for “Bloody Monster.” BM has been added to the PRO Team, besides riders like Sean Silveira, Nick Nguyen and Eric Silverman, to name a few. Keep an eye out for his Pro Model and graphics coming soon to FlowRiderShop.com!
“On the wave, he is a freaking bloody monster,” explains FLOW Tour Coordinator, Adam Muller, when asked to elaborate on the bizarre nickname. However, off the wave, Muller says, “BM is a humble and down to earth rider who puts in the time to practice and improve.”
As mentioned, our other new Team Rider is Isara Singto. At only 14 years old, Isara took on the best riders in the world (some twice his age) at Wave House Sentosa during the 2016 World Flowboarding Championships. Isara is highly involved with the flowboarding community in Thailand and will stop at nothing to reach his goals!
“The kid has a bright future,” states Muller. “He has the very fitting nickname of Simba since it sure seems like he is aiming to be king! “He blows me away with some of the technical tricks he lands with ease,” Muller adds.
Don’t just take it from us, but keep training, working hard and promoting a positive image of our beloved sport and attraction by staying social, uploading your own photos and videos to Flowboarders.com and maybe you will get invite to be on the FR Team!
“If you like something or want to get better, you must practice” explained both new team riders when asked what kept them motivated and hungry for improvement during the off season.
You can find out more information about the riders on the FlowRiderShop.com Team Riders Page.
