“The rider from South Carolina”

At some point during just about every US FLOW Tour competition this year, you may have heard, “Representing Team Flow Blogger, the rider from South Carolina…” over the PA system.  This callout was usually followed by Jeremy Marks, the rider from South Carolina himself, performing some sort of high risk maneuver during his heat.  Marks is super familiar with the FlowRider attraction, both in competition at his home wave at Discovery Island, in Greenville, South Carolina or more recently, during multiple Utah competitions.

At 16 years old, Jeremy already has six years of riding experience, so it’s not a total surprise that Jeremy claimed the US FlowRider FLOW Tour National Jr. Bodyboard Championship Title.  It was a strong season-ender in Utah for Championship week, but Jeremey and Flow Blogger crew made appearances throughout multiple legs of  Tour ‘17 including Florida, Alabama, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

“Priceless Memories” is what Todd Marks, Jeremy’s Father and Masters Competitor, has been focusing on all season.  While Jeremy was stacking points towards his National Tour Campaign and representing his sponsors and hometown, the crew was having a good time and also great family bonding experiences.

Jeremy and Todd Marks made a statement on the US Tour this year by both claiming National Championships in their respected divisions (Todd/Masters Bodyboard).  They also made a splash in their community grabbing local news attention, putting their wave on the map and giving great recognition and representation for the sport of flowboarding.

“There’s always another trick to learn and something else to work on,” states Jeremey Marks. Although, he will enter into the FLOW Pro Bodyboard Division next season, it’s clear that Jeremey has the humble attitude of a true champion.

Will we see Jeremey Marks Pro debut at the World Championships November 3-5 hosted by Aquaworld in Cancun? Who knows?!?

You can follow Jeremy and the Flow Blogger crew and hopefully catch them in action this weekend at H2OBX Waterpark in Powells Point, North Carolina.  The new waterpark is hosting a FLOW Tour Pro/Am series event on August 19th.  If you miss that and you aren’t making it to Cancun, you can count on Jeremy being in the mix next season on the FlowRider FLOW Tour.
